The Do Something Layer is a logical layer added on top of the web 2.0 capabilities in order to track activities and patterns of uplift. It is a "go to" place for folks looking for ways of participating in or initiating activies. The [Do Something Router|http://www.omidyar.net/group/december1st/news/4] was an early discussion of this topic. [http://upliftacademy.org/files/layers.jpg] The vision of the Do Something Layer is to serve as a open, common collecting point for activities, that can be searched by topic, location, event, tag, or other context. It will also allow folks to attach a story line to a web page (flow tag?), tracking what is happening to the the named activity, who is participating.
